Jazz Happening Now was created in 2015 to give living jazz musicians a platform to share their new music with public radio listeners and jazz fans around the world.
For 60 minutes each week, Jazz Happening Now presents a personally curated selection of new releases by today’s living jazz musicians. Each year, we receive ~800 new jazz releases from around the world. The submissions come from major jazz labels and individual musicians who choose to go it alone. Either way, broadcast quality recordings presenting quality writing and musicianship are auditioned and considered for airplay on the show.
This is new jazz radio, old school. No algorithms or machine learning, no consultants, and no network executives ever touch our music choices. Every track, every show is handpicked for you.
